Hi there! Thanks for your feedback, and sorry for the trouble! Let me see if I can address some of your concerns.
1 : wont work unless i have wordpress account
That’s correct. As mentioned in the plugin installation page and the FAQ, many of our core features (like Photon, Stats, and Protect) make use of the WordPress.com cloud. For this to happen Jetpack requires a (free) WordPress.com account.
2 : subscribe to this blog confirmation mail redirect me to wordpress !!
so did the user subscribed to abdorefky.com or wordpress ??That’s indeed the expected behaviour. The Subscription module is another module that relies on the WordPress.com cloud. I can see how this could be confusing for some of your readers, though. Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how we could make this less confusing? Can you think of a specific notice or sentence that was especially confusing in that process, or that could be phrased differently?
3 : login my own website using wordpress.com account!!!!!!!!
this is a joke ? did i give permission to this?? did i told you add another username and password to my login credential ?That feature is part of our Secure Sign On module:
https://jetpack.com/support/sso/No new account was added to your site; when you linked your local account to your WordPress.com account, and when you enabled the Secure Sign On module, you effectively added an additional way to log in to your dashboard with your usual admin account, but using WordPress.com credentials.
That feature can be enabled or disabled via the Jetpack menu in your dashboard. If you don’t recall activating the module yourself, is it possible that you used the “Jump Start” option presented to you after connecting Jetpack to your WordPress.com account? That option allows you to enable some of our most popular modules, including Secure Sign On.
I hope this clarifies things a bit. If you ever decide to give another try, let me know if you run into other problems, or if you have more questions about some of our modules!
Can you think of a specific notice or sentence that was especially confusing in that process, or that could be phrased differently?
yes,
direct me to my website with a black page and in the middle you successfully registered for this website.by not doing so you are using my website as an advertise for www.wordpress.com & at the same time you make website look very bad
direct me to my website with a black page and in the middle you successfully registered for this website.
I’m afraid that’s not possible, as the code behind the subscriptions as well as the subscription management interface all live on WordPress.com. Jetpack Subscriptions were designed that way for 2 main reasons:
- It allows Jetpack subscribers to manage all their subscriptions from a central location. They can manage delivery settings, subscribe to new sites, unsubscribe, for as many Jetpack sites as they want, as well as WordPress.com sites, and even non-WordPress sites if they use the WordPress.com Reader.
- It avoids adding extra elements (like a subscription management interface, or additional database tables to store subscribers’ information and options) to your own site. This way, the subscription system has no impact on your site’s performance.
If you’d rather not offer that option to your subscribers at all, it’s probably best to use a different subscription plugin, where all subscription management happens locally.
You could try MailPoet for example.i have just found another issue .
the wordpress logo in my logging screen !!!!!
i have uninstalled it yesterday. so now the plugin leave its data behind ?
Once you uninstall the plugin, it won’t leave anything behind.
Is this how your log in screen look like?
https://i.wpne.ws/hK8ZIf so, that’s the default WordPress log in screen, and the WordPress logo is indeed to be expected.
If you see a different log in screen, could you post a screenshot here so I can take a closer look? You can use a service like https://snag.gy/ to post your pictures here.
Thanks!
that maybe the logo for your wordpress.com
but for my website i had no logo. i was shocked when i was going to login and found wordpress logo !
That’s the default WordPress log in form:
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Login_ScreenThe WordPress.com log in forms don’t actually include any logos:
https://i.wpne.ws/hKTsIs it possible that you used a custom plugin, or that your theme previously included a function to customize the look of the log in form? If you were to deactivate such a plugin, or to switch themes, you would revert to the default form displayed on the Codex page I linked to above.
i think that my 1 click install made that for me.(i don’t think that the theme can do that )
anyway here is my host and theme if you want to make fresh install to check by your self.
theme is Ryu, host is godaddy (managed word press ).now how to remove that logo that you plugin inserted
well i did installed it again because of two reasons
1 : your support is relieving
2 : i do like your : sharing buttons / site status / Monitor
and activated those
3 : Enhanced Distribution / Photon .. but will they do problem with Yoast SEO?
i am going to discover the other’s and they are a lot and most of them looks good like grammar check.
Huge plugin but strange :the notification panel tell’s me :You’ve made your first post on deleted. which from the blog i deleted at wordpress.com.
impressive.just your responding and caring what brought me back ,, and i hope i don’t get a disaster from this hybrid plugin.
still want to remove that logo
i think that my 1 click install made that for me.(i don’t think that the theme can do that )
Your theme can do that, but your 1-click install may indeed do it as well, by installing a custom plugin during the installation.
Jetpack, however, does not change that logo. It does not deactivate other plugins either.
If you wish to remove the logo again, I’d recommend checking the different plugins currently available in the Plugins menu on your site, and enabling any Custom Logo plugin that may be installed but inactive right now.
If you do not have such a plugin, you can install one from the plugin directory. Here are a few examples:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-custom-login-page-logo/
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/customize-login-image/
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/custom-login/3 : Enhanced Distribution / Photon .. but will they do problem with Yoast SEO?
No worries there. Those modules do not interact with Yoast SEO; you can use them and still use Yoast SEO. In fact, you can use just about any Jetpack module with the Yoast plugin; we’ve worked together to make sure our plugins were compatible with each other.
the notification panel tell’s me :You’ve made your first post on deleted. which from the blog i deleted at wordpress.com.
impressive. The Notifications panel will give you updates and notifications from any WordPress.com site you own, as well as any Jetpack site where you’re a member and connected your account to your WordPress.com account. You may consequently expect notifications from any site you own there.
I hope this clarifies things a bit.
