Scenario: Texts, Events and Links. How should i implement it?

  • Hello,
    I am working on a website which should contain (rather static) texts, links with description and events with description.

    My Idea was to create 3 categories (texts, events, links) and 3 pages which should contain an short introduction and a list of entries.

    Do you think WordPress is the right tool for this task? I would like to use it, because some of my users know it already. I know (x)html, css and i am able to understand php code and write short bits of it.

    Can you recommend some plugins?
