After upgrade to WP5 the scheduler stop working.

If I enter in the plugin it says “no scheduled”, in the configurations I put 5 weekly file backup and 35 daily DB backup, if I save on the plugin dashboard appear the scheduled as set but if I refresh the page it disappear again.

Checking in the WP-Cron there is nothing about UpDraft Backup scheduler.

  • I’m using the latest version of WP and the latest version of UpdraftPlus.
My offsite storage is Dropbox. I went there and noted that the last activity was 13 Sep 2016. I have my website scheduled to be backed up with Updraftplus ever week. I’ve never had the need to retrieve the backup so I haven’t bothered to check to see if UDP was actually backing up my website to my Dropbox. Apparently, it is NOT. I just ran a manual backup and checked my Dropox — nothing new!

@louisaz1 Please can you open your own topic so that your request for help doesn’t get jumbled up with brambil’s?

@brambil, does the same happen if you temporarily de-activate all other plugins? It sounds likely that something else is interfering. WP’s cron system, unfortunately, stores all scheduled task data in a single database cell, so if anything else touches it at the same time, cron events can get lost.
