• Hello,

    I have been using BackWPup plugin for my site successfully for ~18 months. I have 3 jobs defined that are scheduled to run at different times over a week. One of the job is set to backup to a Dropbox account each day, & the other 2 backup to a local directory. I am using the latest version (2.1.17).

    I happened to notice this afternoon that the daily job to Dropbox had been running for ~398000 seconds – since Friday morning. (I had overlooked that the logs had not updated for several days.) I opened the Jobs page in Dashboard which indicated that the job is running since ~398000 sec. I clicked View! to open the Working Jobs page. It displayed the black “terminal” display with no text & 0% in the progress indicator. I went back to the Jobs page & clicked Abort!.

    Following is the text of the BackWPup log after aborting:

    <meta name="backwpup_version" content="2.1.17" />

    <meta name="backwpup_errors" content="1" />

    <meta name="backwpup_jobid" content="5" />
    <meta name="backwpup_jobname" content="full daily site backup to dropbox" />
    <meta name="backwpup_jobtype" content="WPEXP+DB+FILE+OPTIMIZE+CHECK" />
    <meta name="backwpup_backupfilesize" content="0" />
    <meta name="backwpup_jobruntime" content="0" />

    .warning {background-color:yellow;}
    .error {background-color:red;}
    #body {font-family:monospace;font-size:12px;white-space:nowrap;}
    </style>
    <title>BackWPup log for full daily site backup to dropbox from 02-22-2013 at 12:11 am</title>
    </head>
    <body id="body">
    <span class="timestamp">2013/02/26 17:01.29:</span> <span class="error">[ERROR]Aborted by user!!!</span>

    I have tried running the other jobs manually, but they all fail. I have tried deactivating & reactivating the plugin & then manually running a job, but it continues to hang. I tried re-updating the plugin then manually running a job, but there is no change.

    I am at a loss as to what to do next. And I’m concerned that my site is not being backed up on a scheduled basis. Suggestions for a resolution will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Chips
