Scheduled backups not running – no error messages

  • I installed BUWP on my site last week and the process works very well when I run it manually. However, the scheduled backups don’t run although there are no error messages to indicate why.

    Initially there was a wp-cron error message on my dashboard so I followed the FAQ article and added the suggested definition. The scheduled runs still don’t work although the warning message has now disappeared from the dashboard. I’ve revisited the site on different computers and networks to see whether that triggers the backups but without success.

    It’s a small public site which doesn’t have any scheduled posts and isn’t hosted on Heart Internet either. There’s no problem with running manual backups but if possible I’d like to be able to use the automated approach. Does anyone have further suggestions?
