I’ve enabled the Scheduled Optimization option and nothing happens. I set the schedule to perform the optimization every 5 minutes and the images are not optimized.

Is there any specific condition for the schedule to execute?

Does this schedule use cron? For looking at the list of crons there is nothing of the plugin in the list for execution.

  • Hi @martdsam!

Scheduled optimization works on WordPress hooks. So if your site is visited more frequently the optimization will work.

    Hi @luzlol

What do you mean, more often? My site already had some visits after the schedule and even then the optimization did not happen. I even tried with a very short time, but still the images remain the same.

    Hi @martdsam!
We’re already investigation the issue, look forward to an update!

    Hi @martdsam!
I’ve figured out a possible answer to your question. Have you manually enabled scheduled optimization?

Even though it’s scheduled, you need to explicitly activate it via button.

Afterwards it will be in “running” mode.

    Does it answer your question?

So does this button have to stay active forever?
I found this button to be just to manually optimize all images.
The button stays in a location different from the schedule, it makes it a bit difficult to know which 2 are related.

I’ll test it and give you an answer next.

    Thanks.

    It worked.
    But just giving a tip.
Take out the button loading gif, the loading gif gives the impression that something is loading and we should wait. And that’s not what he symbolizes.
The button represents that the scheduled optimization is active, so just changing the color and text of the button is enough.

Maybe a general fit on the dashboard would be nice, to make the plugin more intuitive.

Thanks a lot for the help.

    Hello again @martdsam!

We’ll consider rethinking the UX, thanks a lot for all the feedback! We appreciate your concern.

I would like this changed too.
It’s confusing if you not know what it means, thus it’s not intuitive.

    Thanks
