    Hi,

    thank you for your plugin.

    I wonder if there’s a way (filter, hook,…) to add scheduled posts to sitemap. It’d be fine in case you use a calendar to show all events/posts past and future, and you’d want them to be as indexed as published ones.

    Hello Christian,

    Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. A scheduled post is not included in the sitemap because it is not live; if you check the URL of a scheduled post on another web broswer, it will throw a 404 error. The last thing you want is for search engines to land on a URL that is not live.

    We do not have a hook or filter to include scheduled posts in the XML sitemap.

    I know that scheduled posts cannot be read and their urls give 404 error. So I found this workaround: a function to give them a published status instead of future one. In this way you can display future posts (posts with future date) and automatically add them to the sitemap.
