    Hi getting this message

Warning: WordPress has a number (212) of scheduled tasks which are overdue. Unless this is a development site, this probably means that the scheduler in your WordPress install is not working. Read this page for a guide to possible causes and how to fix it.

Are the scheduled task a general word press thing or to do with this plug in and does this message come up if i have no tasks or should these tasks be happening automatically or do I need to make them happen?

    Sorry…confused

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Brilliant reply for paid support. I have read that link.
Can you not answer the question?

Following on: All the cron jobs seems to be running correctly…do these scheduled tasks apply to wp-optomise or are you picking up false positives? Are these scheduled tasks an “advert” for updraft plus?

As in look at all these scheduled tasks that are not running buy Updraft plus and they will disappear?

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.

I’m afraid that this forum is not our paid support.
For premium support, please see our website:

The warning is displayed if the plugin finds a certain number of overdue tasks in the database. The plugin simply queries that section of the database for the number of tasks, whether they belong to our plugins or not.

If scheduled events are running correctly, has iThemes Security ever been installed on the site? We have found that iThemes Security can leave a large number of blank tasks in the cron system which are never run, but are picked up by the warning.

Just to add that, no, the link to an FAQ on updraftplus.com is not intended as an advert, and buying something won’t remove the problem. The link is to an FAQ on the updraftplus.com website because it’s more efficient for us to re-use the existing FAQ rather than to duplicate it (and then have the duplicate copies diverge in future if we don’t remember to always keep them in sync).

    David
