• Hi,
I upgraded to 3.5 and now my scheduler doesn’t work.
I’ve had to manually publish posts every single time since the upgrade.

I also just noticed that my WPB2D back up to dropbox didn’t happen as scheduled. The last back up was on 12/16 prior to the upgrade. The next back up was scheduled for 12/23 and didn’t happen. I just tried running one for today 9 am and didn’t happen either.

I am running Multisite feature. The main sites right now are:
    jkdunlimited.com and TheMartialMother.com

    Please help. Thank you.

W3TC just updated. Try the new version? I’m using it and it’s just fine, which is why this is very vexing to everyone :/

I really feel that since a smal (smaaaall) number of users have this issue, it’s got to be a combination of plugins + WP 3.5 changes + server. It’s the only thing that makes logical sense.

Now at last I figured out the culprits. and they are

    W3 Total Cache Version 0.9.2.5
    WordPress SEO Version 1.3.4.1

Deactivate both of them and scheduler problem is resolved. At least it worked for me.

I have just seen a missed scheduled post since upgrading to 3.5.

I do have WP SuperCache and it is throwing pre-load errors, so perhaps that is causing it for me.

I have manually installed v3.5 with no plugins or themes to see if it can schedule posts correctly.. Unfortunately it does not. So in its simplest form, it appears to be broken.
However, this leaves me with a completely fresh dev site should people with know-how want to assist me and look at the mechanics behind the scenes with me…

Volunteers (with sound idea’s to resolve this) get to log in as admins to the WP site only… I will retain access to the backend/ftp area…

I upgraded to 3.5 and I don’t see scheduled posts in the cron events list, and they aren’t getting posted at all. I have a ton of plugins, but W3TC was disabled while I tested this.

I disabled all of my plugins, including

    W3 Total Cache Version 0.9.2.5
    WordPress SEO Version 1.3.4.1

and posts are still missing schedule.

Phil Broughton – Server specs please? ?? What version of PHP are you running and what flavor (FastCGI, DSO, etc)? Do you have server caching (APC or xCache)? Apache or nginx?

    Phil Broughton

    (@prb22publicgmailcom)

@mika – I have raised a fault ticket here : https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/23133 to follow this through as well.

I have exposed the php.info and server information here (password required, find me on facebook for a private chat perhaps!)

    https://dev.crinniswoodmanagement.co.uk/

MYSQL details (obtained from phpMYAdmin on 8th January 2013)

    Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
    Software: MySQL
Software version: 5.5.25a-log – MySQL Community Server (GPL)
    Protocol version: 10
    User: xxxxxx@localhost
    Server charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

    Server Web Software:
    Apache/2
    PHP Software:
    PHP Version 5.3.10 / Server API	"CGI/FastCGI" / 20090626

Not sure how to check server caching is in play…

Now updated to WordPress 3.5.1, does scheduling work? Anyone checked ?

    Phil Broughton

    (@prb22publicgmailcom)

I have and the 3.5.1 update has no fixes or adjustments to assist with this fault. I have a developer offering his services to assist with the fault I raised, but not being a paid developer this is being worked on a voluntary basis. So be patient and hope this can be resolved. Personally I want to see more debug switches and a better FAQ on the topic which has been pretty minimal in recent times.

The issue is solved after today’s update on W3Total cache.

    This plugin https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-missed-schedule/

When it picks up the missed post while using Jetpack it breaks the social autopost function of publishing to twitter, facebook, etc have to delete the post republish manually so basically worthless if using jetpack

I cannot schedule a post since upgrading to 3.5.2. I’m not a computer person so I have no idea how to fix this. Do you have an easy to follow fixit solution?
    Thx
