    Hi,

is there a way to schedule episodes, so that the episodes appear on all the platforms (website, Spotify, Apple Music etc..) at the same time (for example if I want my episode to be published weekly every Friday at 5pm)? I know I can set a certain publish time to my WordPress post, but is the episode published on all the other platforms at that time as well?
I know iTunes/Spotify etc.. need a few days for the episode to appear on their platforms, that’s why I’m thinking how do schedule those?

    Thank you very much!

There isn’t a way to force every app and directory to show your episode on a schedule.

All Podcast Directories and Apps run off your RSS feed. When you update your feed with a new episode, the directories, Apps and Subscribers all check the RSS feed to see if something is new. This is not instant.

People get the wrong impression that your RSS feed PUSHES out to everyone. It does not. ALL these places and your subscribers PULL your feed. It asks for your feed when it gets around to it and PULLS your feed to update your listing. Your subscribers subscribe to your feed and after that never really touch Apple Podcasts or the other services again. They are just subscribed to your feed directly in their app of choice. As long as when you publish an episode, you get it if you are subscribed, everything is working. It works the same as every other directory or app. (other than Spotify currently)

There is nothing we or you can do to make that faster. It takes whatever time it takes. To check your RSS feed to make sure it’s working and which episodes are in it, go to CastFeedValidator.com and put your RSS feed address in the box and validate. That should show you what is in the feed and as long as the episode you are looking for is there, it will get to all the directories and apps in time.

The important part is your feed is up to date and the rest of the world will update it when they want to. We can’t force them (unfortunately).

Also, forgot to mention, you can schedule a post to release at a time/date you schedule.

That is in the post editor and is part of WordPress. That works for podcast posts as well.

Thank you so much! Got it now ??

    One other thing;
my website does show the name of the Episode but it doesn’t show my name (the host/author of the podcast).. for example when you press “subscribe” it show’s my company/website’s name, not my name.. for example here:
    https://nofear.company/subscribe-to-podcast/
it shows the name “no fear company” above the picture.. where is wordpress taking that name and am I able to change it?

So now if a person subscribes my podcast on Apple music for example, does it show him/her the author name that I typed in the settings of Powerpress or my company name (don’t even know where it got the company name..)

I haven’t submitted the podcast to Spotify yet, so I don’t know if Spotify is asking the authors name, but hopefully I can adjust that to be mine?

    Thank you so much ??

In the PowerPress settings > feeds tab, put your podcast’s title in the “feed title” box.

Right now it’s No fear company in the title tag.
