Schema doesn't validate

Validating my site on https://validator.w3.org:

The itemprop attributes seem to be in the wrong place for the Testimonials widget.

Error: The itemprop attribute was specified, but the element is not a property of any item.

I’m no schema expert, but should “itemprop” be in an element that is a descendant of itemscope?
