Schema for medicines, drugs, active ingredients

Hi, I am building a store with medical/nutraceutical products and want to implement schema for the finished products and also the ingredients – following the schema at https://schema.org/Drug

I have installed the WP INCI plugin which enables addition of “ingredients” and planned to use that, but I have also created custom taxonomies for active ingredients so am quite flexible in how I implement.

Main question is how do I ensure these products and custom taxa display and are recognised by Google as https://schema.org/Drug

Or is there any alternative approach recommended.
