    Good Morning,

Just noticed the following on your changelog for the pro version of your plugin:

New in version 4.0.13 – Released on January 28, 2021

New: Schema Pro updates to include support for Products, FAQ Pages, Courses, Recipes and more!

We would like to be able to have the following schema attributes for our products:

Available (either in stock, or out of stock) and price.

We use the WP-Ecommerce plugin (details below):

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-e-commerce/

Not sure if the pro version of your plugin only covers schema for the Woocommerce plugin; or would it add schema mark up for the wp-ecommerce plugin, for our products, with the availability and price attributes?

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew

    Hey @andrew1977,

You can use the Product graph for any post type you like, so you can definitely use it to output Product schema for your WP-Ecommerce products.

We currently only integrate with WooCommerce and EDD, which makes it so that you don’t have to fill in all product information manually (and the plugin pulls it from them directly instead). Unfortunately, we don’t integrate WP-Ecommerce yet, so you’d have to fill in the details manually. That shouldn’t take you longer than a minute or so though.

This is how the options look, just to give you an idea – https://a.supportally.com/YU4hp5. Both the product price (obviously) and product availability are attributes that we support.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Hi Arnaud,

Thank you for such a quick reply.

    That’s great news!

So, basically am I right in thinking that all we would have to do is go to the AIOSEO settings, select Schema, and set the schema type to product, and currency to the required one.

How does it pick up the correct availability, e.g: in stock, or out of stock, and price for each individual product?

Also, what’s the best way to upgrade to the pro version to try this out?

We are currently running on version 3.7.1. Would we need to upgrade to the latest free version first, before then upgrading to the pro version?

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew

@andrew1977 since you’re not using WooCommerce or EDD, right now you’d have to select the availability manually using the dropdown menu on the screenshot that I posted above. Unfortunately, you’d also have to change it manually when the availability of the product changes. Same goes for the price.

As far as upgrading goes, you can upgrade to Pro from whatever version; that doesn’t really matter. As you’re currently still on the old version, the plugin will start a migration process to carry over all your existing to the new version (4.x). That might take a while depending on how large your website is, but everything will continue to work the same as it did while that runs in the background.

    Hi Arnaud,

Really appreciate your super swift replies. The support service that you offer for this plugin is amazing!

When you say manually, does that mean that initially the plugin will detect current availability and price for all our existing wp-ecommerce products; and then when we change an individual products price, or availability status, e.g: a product has sold out etc, would be when we would have to manually change things?

Just want to be 100% sure that we don’t have to edit thousands of products from the start to enter the price and availability status for the schema to work for all our existing products?

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew

Thank you, we try our best! ??

Until we have an integration with WP-Ecommerce (currently not planned), you’d need to manually enter and update everything I’m afraid, so also for your existing products.
