I’m trying to change the schema for posts – the “Article type” from “Article” to “Blog Post”.

When doing so, the schema markup does not change at all (confirmed using https://validator.schema.org).

It always shows : @type WebPage – and that’s it.

In fact, I’m not sure it working at all as even when it’s set to “Article”, as according to your webpage (https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/pieces/article/) it should show “@type Article” – but it does not.

I’m using the latest free version 20.2.1

I’ve tried adjusting the post setting in “Yoast SEO -> Settings” and in the individual post “Schema” tab and still nothing.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

It appears I have solved the issue.

After filling out the “Site representation” section, everything seems to be working as expected.
