First of all, Rank Math is by far the best SEO plugin and has a lot of features I was missing from others, but with that said, it’s not perfect!

Schema.org markup is very powerful when used correctly, so it’s a shame that I have to disable it in Rank Math to add my own. Specifically, I’m talking about adding details, such as (under Organization):

    • alternateName: If you have multiple name variations (including with/without the .TLD)
    • legalName: If your organization is a registered company
    • (custom fields for) sameAs: Links to more social and business profiles
    • contactPoint: For customer service details
    • mainEntityOfPage: Links to articles about your site/company (ex: Wikipedia)
    • founders: Info about the founder(s)

It should be very easy for you to add these additional fields to the “Local SEO” tab.

The reason why it’s useful is because it can show up in the Google knowledge graph and/or Maps.

I hope to see this feature in future versions!

    Hello @vebbmaster

Thank you for contacting the support.

Here are the answers to your concerns:
    1. The sameAs ( social-fields): Google & Bing no longer supports social fields so we have removed them in the upcoming update. You can update to the beta version by following this tutorial:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/version-control/#beta-updates

and can read Google & Bing’s stand on that:

    https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/social-profile
    https://www.bing.com/webmaster/help/markup-businesses-and-organizations-cc507c09

    2. contactPoint: Rank Math plugin provides an option to add contact numbers in the Local SEO Settings:
    https://i.rankmath.com/1QAhHy

Rank Math adds all the required/recommended fields in the Schema Markup. To extend the Schema further, you can use our json_ld filter:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#extend-json-ld-data

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, please let us know. We are here to help.
