    Hi Yoast,

    As plugin support guy asked, I made a ticket on github, supporting the need of a built in button schema off function.
    The reason was the vast crowd of non programmer users of WP an Yoast Seo.
    The request has been rejected.

    May I kindly ask you to give a simple and well understandable answer to all those non IT guys here:

    1. Was there any schema data generated by Yoast before the 11.0 update?

    2. Regarding schema only, please confirm:

    If I put (after updating to 11.0) the the code snippet

    add_filter( 'wpseo_json_ld_output', '__return_false' );
    onto function.php as proposed on your Yoast Developer portal I shall not delete anything that had been there before the 11.0 update. The code snippet only prevents adding the new schema features.

    And Please do not answer with “learn more here” and linking to schema documentation as it is for developers, even with “You’re a developer & unsure where to start?” note.
    WP/Yoast users are mostly non IT experts, so can perform strict instructions only!

    thx in advance
    in the name of non IT/programmer users of Yoast

    • Before Yoast SEO v11.0, Yoast SEO used to generates schema for breadcrumbs (when Yoast SEO specific breadcrumb is enabled) and the necessary JSON+LD schema for the Google knowledge graph

      In addition, Yoast SEO generates the Howto and FAQs related schema when using the relevant blocks in Gutenberg editor.

    • Using the wpseo_json_ld_output filter will completely disable any Schema generated by Yoast SEO. No matter whether it was outputting before v11.0 or after.
