Scientific Journal Management

Dear Community,
I am trying to use Pods to set-up a management system of a Scientific Journal. In particular, we need to have at least these fields:

Journal
> Issue (es. Issue 1 , Issue 2… ) so that any Issue has some related articles
> Article (as Post) referred to an Issue
> Author(s) of the Article (single article has one ore more authors)

The only thing we have partially done is first extend a type (Post) then creating a pod “authors” through a relation with wp-users. After showing it through the shortcode in the text of the article, the authors appear but only text (without a link to author page).

Could you please help us to set-up those issues?
