When saving edits in functions.php file, I get the error: “Scrape nonce check failed. Please try again”. I’ve identified SG Optimizer as the source of the problem. I’ve disabled the plugin, got back to functions to save it with no problem, then activated the plugin again. I have WordPress 5.3.2 and Woocommerce 4.0.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

I tested the reported behaviour on a default WordPress installation with the SiteGround Optimizer installed. I was able to edit the functions.php file successfully, and the changes were saved each time without any errors being shown. I tried that with each PHP version available on our servers.

This means that the issue is not due to the SiteGround Optimizer plugin itself and in case you are experiencing it, it is due to a conflict with another plugin or the theme itself.

In case you need further assistance figuring out why the errors occur, make sure to post a ticket to our Technical support team from your SiteGround Client Area.

I would also like to mention that such issues should be posted to separate new topics, which are not marked as resolved, as there can be different reasons for one and the same error.

    Best Regards,
    Daniela Ivanova
