Screen Options Not Showing

    Hi,

    Screen options are not showing on the single post editor (they are showing elsewhere).
    I’ve disabled all plugins and set Twenty twenty-four default theme. I cleared browser cache and disabled all addons (Chrome). I am using the updated version of WordPress (6.4.2). Nothing helps. Screen options are still not showing on the post editor. Does anyone have any suggestion to tackle this issue.

    can you share a screenshot of the area you are referring to.

    As you can see, there’s no “screen options” available when I am editing a post.

    on an install of WP 6.4.2, twenty twenty four theme, no plugins – I see no screen options tab in my site in the same area you shared in your screenshot.

    what are you trying to show or hide in your editing area?

    there is a “preferences” area available which controls some of the things displayed in post edit area.

    Hi Lisa, I was trying to turn on the post format option and choose “video” as default (instead of featured image), but found out that screen options are no longer available when using the block editor. Anyway, I found a way around that met my needs. Thank you for your time. p
