Good afternoon. I am currently having an issue with my WordPress admin area. For some reason, when I log into the admin dashboard, it will not allow me to use the screen options. The tab is there and when I click it, it does nothing. Also, a similar issue with the WordPress updates. If I try to use “Select all”, it will not do it. I have to manually select all the files I want to upgrade and then use the drop-down box to select update.

I have tried deactivating the latest plugins I am using, clearing cache and retry, but still same issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried deactivating the latest plugins

Please attempt to disable ALL plugins (NOT JUST FEW), and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.
There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at https://make.www.ads-software.com/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/

Just wanted to give an update. Problem is solved and I want to thank you for the information on the health plugin. It is GREAT!! Took no time for me to find the issue, which was my theme. Changed theme and reactivated plugins and everything working great.

Thank you for the assistance, I really appreciate the help
