Screwed up settings page – can’t get back in!

Thank you! Where do I find the wp-config file? I’ve looked in all the folders in my cpanel and can’t find it…

I found it – it was in the public_html file. But nothing about the settings and I don’t see the “new” url to change it back to the old one… I’m reading the other solutions again.

In the wp-config.php file, the instruction is to find

define(‘WP_SITEURL’, ‘https://example.com/wordpress’);

and change the url. but in my config file, there is nothing that reads WP_SITEURL or HOME. Do I create it and put it in there?

OK, it’s fixed. I did the https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/ fix… can’t believe it actually worked the way it was supposed to.

Glad it worked; right, if those WP_SITEURL and WP_HOME constants aren’t there, you just add them. But the phpMyAdmin method is equally effective.
