Scribd isn't working on WP 4.2.2

  • Here’s what I’m inputting on a page on my site:

    [scribd id=49670924 key=key-drkmwvf89exm352h830 mode=scroll]

    When I view the page, that code shows. Not the actual PDF file in my scribd library. I searched around and saw people where having this issue, but that was back on WordPress version 2.x. I’m using the latest 4.2.2. I really don’t want to host 50-60 PDF files on my own site – would so much rather use the Scribd, since I have a nice library built out. But why isn’t it working in wordpress?

  • Hi, that shortcode is not part of core WordPress. It comes on the hosted wordpress.com installs, and it comes in Jetpack. If you have Jetpack installed and activated it should work.
