    Hi,
I love your plugin, but I do have a couple of questions.

    1) When I save my settings the cookies panel disappears completely and I can’t find any way to re-set my preferences.
Users have to be able to access and re-set there preferences at any time under GDPR I believe.
I am assuming I am just a bit stupid and new to this, but I can’t find a button to bring the cookies panel up again if I change my mind.
    2) If there is no way of changing your mind and re-setting the cookie preferences could you tell me how long the preferences that have been chosen will be set for, as we have to say how long the cookies last.
    Thanks for your help.
    Gruff

  • 1. Added in the latest release. You may use the following shortcode: [wpgdprc_consents_settings_link]My settings[/wpgdprc_consents_settings_link] (You may also add additional classes to your link by adding the ‘class’ attribute to the shortcode.). It’s also possible to add a menu item or wherever by adding the class wpgdprc-consents-settings-link to your item/element.
    2. 365 days. Might add a settings field someday.

Hey Donny thanks for the plugin, I am having the same problem. I accepted and now its completely gone.

If I add the shortcode as you say would it be accessible anytime for patrons to change?

Also, where can I add the short code?

Thanks a lot Donny – didn’t expect a reply on the weekend.

Great plugin, and the setting page is very nice and can’t be missed !

@loschinony; It’s not a problem. This is how it’s designed. Why would you continue showing the consent bar if they accepted or declined the scripts? That would take up space in your site that you don’t want. If you add the shortcode or add the above class to your menu items/elements, you give your visitors the ability to open up their consent settings. That way they’ll be able to accept/decline certain scripts again. You can add the shortcode wherever you want.

    @gruff578; No worries!

Thanks for the great script. However I found that the cookie consent panel doesn’t go away after pressing “Accept” on a Samsung 7 phone. It went away on my LG-V20 and on my HP Laptop. Any idea why it wouldn’t accept the consent on the Samsung 7? I disabled it for now since the panel was blocking the page.

    Thanks!

    Hi

I have more or less the same problem.
When I click on My settings, nothing happens.
When I accepted the cookies, I really can’t find to access the bar to change my settings.

It is not clear to me where you should use the shortcode ([wpgdprc_consents_settings_link]My settings[/wpgdprc_consents_settings_link])
I looked in my meny items but I don’t find an option class where I can paste this code into (sorry, I am not an expert).

    Hope you can help…

By refreshing, deleting cookies and cleaning cash, the menu appears when I click on “My settings”.

I found out how to add a class to a menu item, however, it does not seem to work and I can nowhere change the settings I choose.

I went to “Live preview” and could add the shortcode there to a menu item (css).

When I chose the menu items… however nothing happens (or I can’t see where I could possible change my settings).

If anybody could help me find how to resolve it…. would greatly appreciate it.

    Kind regards …

    Diederik
