    Hello.
    I have just updated Subscribe2 ( to ver 8.7) on wp 3.3.
    The widget is bahaving oddly in the backend i can’t open it to set parameters. It’s perminantly closed. And it has issues in the frontend which when the widget is used to subscribe, the following error appears: Sorry, there seems to be an error on the server. Please try again later.

    No email is send nor person subscribed.

    On checking the server logs i am getting the following error. script not found or unable to stat: /MYSERVERDETAILS/cgi-bin/register.c

    I’ve never had such errors before. Also server people are not sure of errors. Any ideas?

  • @son123,

    That missing file is nothing from Subscribe2 (or WordPress I don’t think).

    Can you check the database table structure and see if you have a time column in the subscribe2 table?

    Thanks for your response.
    The database has config_date, config_time and config_ip… For all users a null is shown. And a ‘date’ column with various dates of subscribers in. The table also has an invisable/inactive administrator with no id.

    @son123,

    You need to create a time column for this to work then. You could update the code to the development version to do this or create it yourself using PHPMyAdmin.

    That solved the issue well – done. I just added another column to the table as suggested and it now seems to be working. Thank you. Unfortunately I upgraded in the first place to resolve some ‘bugs’ which are still present. I’ll pop them in an alternative posting. Thanks again.
