• Resolved Ate Up With Motor

    (@ate-up-with-motor)

Any time I edit a post with a significant number of images (more than one or two) in Visual mode, my browser hangs repeatedly and returns warnings that the script /plugins/wordpress-seo/js/dist/yoast-seo-307.min.js=ver=3.0.7:1 is not responding.

This doesn’t occur in Text mode (which is how I usually do most editing), but the script freezing over and over again is making the Visual mode almost unusable, which is highly inconvenient to say the least.

As the error indicates, I have version 3.0.7 of the plugin and I’m up to date on WordPress core. Since the issue is specifically the above-mentioned script becoming unresponsive, it doesn’t seem like a plugin conflict error, although I could be wrong.

Anyone have any idea what its problem is and how I might fix it? As mentioned, I do most editing in text editor mode, but any time I need to do anything with media, it becomes a time-consuming chore because the script will freeze six or seven times in the course of trying to add or replace a single image.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

I think that Yoast SEO version 3.x.x is still unstable.
But you can go back, easily to fully functional version 2.3.5 working nice with last versions of wordpress, plugins and themes… you can find it here in developer section.

    Regards
