    Dear EU Cookie Law Team,

thank you very much and congratulations for your plugin, it seems really useful and it works fine on Safari, Firefox and Chrome (on IE I have to check)!

Just a question, would you mind please adding the “scroll function” and/or “click function” (according to the Italian Cookie Law)? I mean, if a user scrolls down the page or click on the page it means that he accepts cookies, the page refreshes and banners and other blocked elements appear.

    Thanks!!

    Hi Marco,

thank you very much! That’s great!! The “scroll function” works perfectly! You guys are really brilliant!!

Do you think is possible also add a “click function”, in other words the user clicks on the page (e.g. on the navigation bar or on a category etc…), the page refreshes and banners and other elements appear?

It would be a plus. Anyway, now is perfect!! This is the best plugin that really complies with the Italian Cookie Law.

Keep up the good work! ??

    Thanks!!

It could be ok, but in my opinion who use these functions should inform users about it in the banner. Are we sure that everyone would do this?

    Hello Marco,
thank you very much for your message.

I think these functions are expected from the Italian law, anyway I know that it is possible to have so many interpretations.
At the point 4.1. the law explains that “deve immediatamente comparire in primo piano un banner di idonee dimensioni” […] contenente le seguenti indicazioni: […]
“- l’indicazione che la prosecuzione della navigazione mediante accesso ad altra area del sito o selezione di un elemento dello stesso (ad esempio, di un’immagine o di un link) comporta la prestazione del consenso all’uso dei cookie.”

I think that “altra area del sito” means a category, a link on the navigation bar (link) a picture etc…

As a matter of fact on my banner I decided to write “Continuando la navigazione (click o scroll) acconsenti all’uso di cookie”.

Please let us know what you think and thank you very much for your support!

We’ve added scrolling as cookie acception (disabled by default) and we are evaluating whether to consider the continue of navigation as consent.

We will also add some exceptions for these options in the cookie page, as asked by others in this support forum ??

From v2.5 “Continue Navigation” (except for cookie page) can be set to be considered as consent

    Thank you for the idea!
