Scroll to Top not working

  • At one time the Scroll to Top icon worked but then the Jetpack plugin messed it up. I got rid of Jetpack months ago and it still won’t work. I tried to remove the option in Customize > General Options > Scroll to top, then I published that change. Then I went back and added it and even chose some different options and it still isn’t working.

    Any idea what the issue is? It’s working fine on my second site with the same settings, but I never installed Jetpack on that site. I have WP-Optimize to clean the databases when I remove a plugin but do you think there is some code somewhere that it is not removing?

    I checked the site and the Scroll to Top is working fine. Have you checked it on incognito/private mode or on a different browser?

    I left a page open and came back to it in a while and it worked. I just tried incognito mode and I also see it. Why would it not work right away on Chrome on my one site but work on my other site? Wierd. Thanks.

    It could be a caching issue but not sure.

    I noticed the recent WP version has “Delete Cache” button when I go into Posts. I also have WP Fastest Cache. How often should I delete the cache?
