• Once again thank you Thomas. Also, thanks for answering my DataLayer push question.

I am trying to push the Scroll event for reporting in Google Analytics. I created the Data Layer Variable in Google Tag Manager and also created an event using this variable.

Right now, by checking GA live reporting, its firing every time the page loads. It is because I have to change it to a timing instead of an event?

As of now, I used jquery as a work around but would be nice if I can get it all with one plugin.

    Thanks as always and regards,

    Hi,

It is hard to give you an explanation for that.
Could you at least post the URL of your website?

It does not seem to be normal this kind of behavior.

    Thomas

I am having a similar issue!

When any page of the site I help maintain loads, the gtm4wp.startReading and the gtm4wp.contentBottom fire immediately. No scrolling, no interaction at all on my end.

    Unsure why this happens.

I’ve tried changing the minimum distance to 1000px, and even though it breaks some things in the console.log() (when I’m debugging), it seems to work better than when the minimum distance is set to something realistic (i.e. 150px)…which is to say when defaults are applied, nothing works.

Please help! This plugin is amazing and I’m super grateful for all your hard work!
