• Hey guys and girls!

I have a problem: in the preview of Twenty Seventeen the mainpage is with textblocks who slides in or out (if you scroll) an between these blogs are pictures fullscreen-displayed/as background. But any time if I try to install and furnish this theme on my own webspace it’s just white textblocks (without any margin!) and no option to include some picture (header image excepted).

    Can you help me please?

Hi @wupperjojo – there are a few steps to setting up the special front page template in Twenty Seventeen. Here they are in brief. You can also find detailed instructions here, including screenshots.

    1. Create a page and assign the Front Page Template to it. You can also add some content to this page. Publish this page.
    2. Publish up to four additional pages, and add a featured image and your desired text to each page.
    3. At Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings, select “A static page” as your homepage, and select the new page you created in step 1.
    4. At Appearance > Customize > Theme Options, select the four pages you published in step 2.

Note that all the pages you create in steps 1 & 2 must be published in order to be selectable in steps 3 & 4.

Let me know how it goes, and whether you need help with something else.
