scrolling table banner

    Hi Tobias,

    I have a new desire for my new website, in the form of a scrolling banner across the top of the landing page.
    I have seen several sites with a scrolling banner right below the menu bar that has their blog pages scrolling by.
    Here is an example:

    In this example the banner title is “Breaking News” and the scrolling data has links to articles that are on the site.
    I would like to have something similar that scrolls the data that is contained in the tables on this page of mine.

    For the banner title I would like to use both text and individual cell data that is available through your shortcode. [table-cell id=9 cell=I5 /]

    Do you have a extension that scrolls the data in tables?

    Extra Credit– Do you have the capability to scroll the title row (Row 1) tied with data in the rest of the rows within that table? Example:

    Fixed banner title Line 1 |R1C1|R2C1|R1C2|R2C2|R1C3|R2C3|….|R1C1|RxC1|R1C2|RxC2|R1C3|RxC3

    Or Extra-Extra-Credit
    (These two lines would scroll together Left or center Justified.
    Fixed banner title Line 1 |R1C1|R1C2|R1C3|R1C1|R1C2|R1C3|….|R1C1|R1C2|R1C3|
    Fixed banner title Line 2 |R2C1|R2C2|R2C3|R3C1|R3C2|R3C3|….|RxC1|RxC2|RxC3|

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    No, sorry, I’m not aware of an existing solution to that. Tables are not really suited for such scrolling.

    Hi,

    automatic vertical scrolling could be possible, but you would also need custom JavaScript code for this. I haven’t seen a solution for that yet, sorry.
