• Regarding: https://www.reapervidlist.info

I’ve entered 15 test links, which display fine. On a separate page, I’ve inserted:

    [link-library-cats settings=”1″]
    [link-library-search settings=”1″]

The categories display, and the search-entry box. Entering a search term – interestingly – clears the whole page and produces nothing.

I’ve also tried [link-library-search] shortcode with no difference.

How might I troubleshoot this? Thx.

The search results are displayed by the [link-library] shortcode, just like links are always displayed.

Thanks for the quick reply. It was not obvious to me to insert
    [link-library]

    shortcode just after

    [link-library-search]

on the desired WP page. I’ve searched shortcode parameters to see if
there’s a way to not display all links until after a search is generated…
Might there be a way to do that?

Yes, this can be done by going to the Common tab of Library settings, then setting the switching mode to AJAX and checking the box ‘Hide category on start in single cat AJAX mode’

Yannick: I On page where I was hoping to only show the Search entry, then the
results, I’m still getting all links displayed before searching.

I made the “Hide category…” change you suggested. I’m using shortcodes:

    [link-library-search settings=”1″]
    [link-library settings=”1″]

Might there be additional config/settings needed? Thank you.

Sorry for lack of reply. I was travelling in Asia the past two weeks. Did you set the switching mode to AJAX? If so, can you export your library settings and send me the resulting CSV file so I can replicate your setup on my side and see what might be missing?

if not, please set to AJAX switching mode and see if that fixes the issue.
