Seamless patterns in background

  • Hi all,

    For customizing background I loaded up a seamless pattern tile and chose the repetition (vertically and horizontally) option from the menu. Although it was displayed as repeated in the preview it doesn’t get repeated in the original view. Background pattern always gets fit to the whole screen and covers it completely.

    How to solve this? I am using it wrongly? I know how to fix it with CSS but I think this is not developer’s intention.

  • It is possible without altering CSS. The following steps solve this problem:

    1. Go to Appearance > Customize
    2. Select “Background image”
    3. Under “Background size”, select Initial

    Unfortunately, this option is not available on the Appearance > Background screen.
