Hello. I need help how to search database entries ( records) just by one criteria.
I have several fields in database ( name, surname, city etc…).
in my search database page on my site when i try to search i have to select some criteria (name, surname, city etc…) and then to enter what i am searching for. I want just search by city for example, and not to be shown other options ( name, surname, etc…).
    Is it possible?

    No, i still have problem.
[pdb_list search=true suppress=true] i need that on search page, and i need to have option that users on my website can search just by one criteria. i will be more detailed..i fix laptops, and every laptop have serial…and i want to have page on website where user can search for his laptop just by entering serial number ( not name, surname…)…i need simple search form with [pdb_list search=true suppress=true] command

And when he enter serial his can check the repair status of his laptop. Why i need this? Because i dont want that users can search by name and see status of lapptops from other people

Can you say why the suggested solution doesn’t work? The article linked explains how to set up a custom template so that you end up with a single search field that only searches on one field…that sounds like what you’re looking for.

    [pdb_list search=true suppress=true search_fields=code ]

    that code resolved problem.

    Thanks for your attention.

p.s may i open new topics if i dont understand something?

Yes, if your question isn’t a continuation of an existing topic, it’s best to open a new one…also if your topic gets marked “resolved” and it really isn’t, it is usually best to open a new topic so it’s more likely to be seen.
