Search and pagination questions

Hi, could you explain a little more on how to use the search function. The search box is displayed but it doesn’t seem to search or display any specific results just lists all the entries. Also pagination is set to 5 but if there are more than 5 entries it lists them all with no pagination.

Not sure if I have everything set up correctly.

I have a simple form with only 2 fields Date and Code, both set to show in list.

I have the following set in the stickylist settings

Show entries in list to : Entry Creator
Embedd page/post: member dashboard
View entries :Enabled
View label: View
List sort : enabled
List search : enabled
Pagination
List pagination :enabled
Entries per page : 5
