The next version change this, so that it run easily. I think, we release in the next view days, weeks. If you can’t wait, please try thy the dev version from here – https://github.com/inpsyde/search-and-replace/archive/master.zip

Hi Frank, firstly thanks for a fantastic plugin. I successfully changed my domain from https://www.cape-verde-holidays.net to https://www.explore-cape-verde.com. The result was 100% correct. However on simply trying to upgrade my other domains from http to https (without any domain name change) I hit exactly the same problem as @rjmonday above (Your search contains your current site url. Replacing your site url will most likely cause your site to break. If you want to change the URL (and you know what you doing), please use the export function and make sure you backup your database before reimporting the changed SQL.). Have you any time scale for the plugin upgrade you mentioned? (Github is normally above my capabilities). Thanks in advance. Philip

Hello again Frank, I have installed the dev version (I didn’t know it was a simple operation, my apologies). Now that it is installed, it appears alongside all the other plugins but there is no options to select it from tools so I am unable to run it. What should I do?

Any updates on this topic? I am facing this error when trying to update https:// to https:// links.

Yes I would love an update on this topic
it is somewhat frustrating to be so close to what i need to do but not close enough

I have eventually found Better Search and replace did the URL change I needed from with a www to without a www
