    Good day folks,

    We are reaching out to you due two reasons.

    The first one:

    We are trying to add a custom google search on the site.

    We decided to use the blog section for such purposes. So far we added the text needed in the subtitle section and added some html code to customize it the way we needed.

    In between the text and the changes made, we added the code google provided for the search bar. It looked great initially, but when we cleared cache on the site, the blog section did not keep the code google gave us and therefore the changes made were not reflected.

    Do you have any idea of what is happening and the way to solve this?

    The second one:

    Hestia do have a way to enable/disable sections on the front page. As we are still adding code/testing the custom google search, we are enabling and disabling the blog section to check the work done.

    But all of the sudden, we are still seeing the blog section despite of checking the disable option.

    Do you know what is happening and how we can resolve this issue too?

    Good day,

    It seems there is a confusion here. We opened this ticket as a way to solve something we needed and we shared some of the ideas we had to solve it; looking for some guidance, as you are the experts, owners of the theme in question.

    There were two issues. You only addressed the first one and we acted according to your suggestions, but we were not pleased with the results.

    That to say, this last one that is being discussed here is also related to the second: the hooks. For we decided to code on them directly rather than using the layouts.

    When we use a layout it creates a space, a gap in between the sections where we need to add what we need.

    Now, we do not see the hooks section anymore, despite of using Hestia Pro. But for this issue, we created a new ticket here.

    Did you have the chance to check it out? We will close this one once you properly attend the hooks problem on the new ticket we created.
