Search bar jumped below new uploaded header image

  • I have uploaded a new header image and now the search bar is encroaching on the nav menu below.
    I have tried making the header image smaller but when uploaded through WP it just stretches it to 1000px, leaving no room for the search bar.
    Please help?

    Tried it both ways – via ftp and WP dashboard.

    Think I am confusing the header image with the site title!
    The header image looks as though it is set at 1000px wide.
    On a previous website I managed to changed the site title for an image but it doesn’t seem to be working this time.
    I have changed the #site-title {background: url(images/LW-Web-Logo300x96.jpg
    but nothing is showing now – please help!

    Sorted it!
    Had to remove header image in WP and tick box for Show Header Text – then my image showed.
