Search Bar–Searching by Year?

I’m not 100% certain I understand your question. Are you referring to the Tribe Events Bar‘s “Events From” date-picker? If so, there are no additional features included in Events Calendar PRO which allow you to alter the date-picker from month to year.

Thanks for responding. What I’m saying is when I use the Events Calendar search feature it ONLY searches and finds events in the CURRENT month, not events that are happening several months from now. That kinda seems counter-intuitive, since that’s the purpose of most search features.

For example. My calendar is set to March. In the search bar I type in the name of an event that’s occurring in August. The ONLY way I can find that event is to search every month, which seems a little silly since you can visually see all of the vents in that month.

Thanks for following up to clarify the issue here! When you’re viewing your calendar in the default month view, searches will be limited to one month at a time so that you can step through each month with your search. If you’d like to search all months in the future, simply toggle the list view before or after performing your search, and you’ll see the list of all matching events appear below your search bar.

I’m using the free version, which I think limits the views to days, weeks, and month. I probably need the Pro Version for year. Is that correct?

Sorry for the late reply. At the moment we don’t have a year view, not even in the PRO version. However, searching for a term in the search bar will show you the results of the current month, that is right.

However if you are in list view, then it will give you results of the past and the future as well.

Andras, adding a year option would be really helpful, especially for people and companies that have annual events. It seems like adding that capability would be fairly easy.

I dare not guess how easy or hard a year view would be. How do you imagine the looks of it?

If a company has some yearly events, then wouldn’t simply the list view address their needs? Just thinking out loud.
