Try adding this CSS:

@media (max-width:768px){
    form.search-form.navigation-search.nav-search-active {
        padding: 0 15px;
    }
    form.search-form.navigation-search.nav-search-active input.search-field {
        outline: none !important;
        border-bottom: 1px solid;
    }
}

The padding part is optional. You can remove it if you want the line to go full width.
