Regarding your first query, it seems customization was made on the single docs template, and somehow the main tag is missing and this is why the space just after the header is missing and the search option is overlapping. For reference please check this screenshot – https://d.pr/i/RDyvW9

This is a theme-related issue. To fix the issue I would like to suggest you to check your template and add the main tag like your other templates and check. You can also fix this by using the below custom CSS.

body.single-docs .betterdocs-wrapper {
padding: 12.5em 0 8em !important;
}

You can simply add custom CSS by navigating to your WordPress?Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize.
After you are on the Customizer page, search for the “Additional CSS” option. You can then go ahead and insert CSS Code. Please check this screencast to learn more – https://d.pr/v/QrrfTw

Regarding your second query, in our BetterDocs plugin we don’t have any class named single-page.
