I have recently completed a set of upgrades to my website and all is well, and I am enjoying the latest version of WP Album Plus.

I wonder though, why the current version of the search box widget has lost its old formatting? I believe I need to use the block “legacy widget”. But as you can see, it has lost the “Look” of the standard WordPress search widget

Can I easily adjust , for example, the font style? And create a button to click?

    Thanks

This is a theme issue. On my test site with a different theme (suffusion) there is no difference in layout between legacy and block widgets.

On theme twentysixteen, on your site as well as on my testsite, there is a difference, a.o. the legacy widget titles are in a <h2> tag, the block widget titles are in a <h3> tag. Example from my testsite on 2016: Both the block as well as the legacy version of the photo of the day widgets are installed; you can see the difference: https://betatest.opajaap.nl/ (pls look soon, i will switch back to my normal theme in 24 hours)

So, either report this as a bug in theme 2016 or choose a different theme, or adjust it with custom css. Or, wait until i converted more widgets to block versions, but that will take some time.

Thank you for this, and for good advice. I checked a couple of other themes and yes, the searchbox is fine with them . See example https://snipboard.io/xAFRGy.jpg

So, I will look to change the theme, and report the Twenty Sixteen issue.

    Many thhanks Indeed
