Search Box on Topic page?

Hi,

Currently there isn’t a direct way to put the search box at the top easily with the version in the repository.

But, I just made some changes to the beta in the repository and implemented a new shortcode for the search form.

[kb-search]

This will display the search form wherever you want it to and searching from this form will allow you to search the knowledgebase.

I don’t plan an official release of this for at least another few weeks until I have a bit more features in there, so feel free to try out the Github version.

Greetings — to let you know: I downloaded and tested through [kb-search] in beta version. It works…but doesn’t:
1. I can install it anywhere in the site. It provides fast results.
2. I can translate without problem
3. HOWEVER: For both English and other languages it only searches one key word. It can not search if I enter a sentence/question/phrase or if I enter several search words seperated by commas.
4. I tried google custom search as an alternative but could not figure our what the url “Sites to search” would be.
5. I uploaded and modified the search page template (search-wz_knowledgebase.php) without problem on the Enfold theme. My site: aliamori.com

Thank you for testing this. The plugin uses the inbuilt WordPress search system to search for the terms. I have always been able to get results for phrases obviously assuming all the searched terms exist in the content.

I checked out your site but being in a different language I’m unable to find the correct place to search.

Any thoughts on when you will be releasing this update? Any other changes coming? Would like the search box but prefer the official release. Thanks!

I just pushed an update which has the search box plus several other updates. You can add this with [kbsearch]
