How would you like the search box repositioned? Can you post a link?
You would need to use a plugin for an expanded search widget. I’m not sure of any free ones that do this.

With the free theme there is only an option to add the search as part of the topbar or in an widget area like sidebar or footer.

For the topbar click theme options > topbar settings.

If you have the premium theme you can add the search as part of the menu where there is an icon and if you click on it the input field shows up.
