The search button on both mobile and desktop isn’t working. I deactivated the only plugin I installed recently and that didn’t fix the problem. How do I fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @mylocksjourney,

If I am not wrong, you are still using the old Header/Footer. Please try switching to the Header Footer Builder (HFB) and see if the Search element is working fine.

Please let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

I am having the same problem. You helped me a couple of days ago with a video to allow me to add the search function to the mobile version. Now both the desktop and mobile search functions do not display the search text as it is entered. Site home page: https://closertotheedge.uk/. Thanks, Tony

Don’t worry. I’ve decided to put the search function in the sidebar menu using the search widget. Seems a lot easier. Thanks, Tony

The new HFB worked. Thank you!

    Thanks for your confirmation, @mylocksjourney.

@tonyurwin, you might want to do the same, switching from the Old Header/Footer to the new Header Footer Builder.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

Is using HFB the only way now or will this be resolved at some point (or is there some trick to get it to work again)? It feels more like a bug. Going to HFB is a bit of work, which we can do if it’s truly dead in the water otherwise.
