I was not able to resolve this, the drive on my computer died so I have been trying to recover from that. Just now getting backup and running. Is it actually safe to put that kind of information in an open forum? Is there some way I can send it securely to you?

Hello,

Just to clarify, are you referring to the product search feature on the frontend or backend (in the shop admin)? Currently, product search by SKU is available on the backend only. You can check out this article to get better idea and options to allow frontend search.

Actually I am referring to front end search. This is a site that I inherited and search by sku was working until I just updated WooCommerce to the latest version.

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

The best way to determine this is to:

• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
