Hello. We have templates of VIN numbers of cars in arbitrary fields of records, in this form: YV1BZ???????????? or another example of MM?G?KH80????????

The question mark means that any value in this position of the VIN number is valid. Can this be used for a search so that the system looks for a match with the exception of question marks?

That is, when a user enters a query, for example: MM1G2KH8034567890, an entry will appear in the search results that has the value MM in an arbitrary field?G?KH80????????

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Currently, the Ivory Search plugin does not provide this functionality but I will consider implementing it in the future version of the plugin.

    Best regards,

    Hello

Have you considered the possibility of implementing this functionality?
We are ready to buy a plugin if this feature is only available in the paid version. We really miss it, customers leave because they can’t find the necessary data by their VIN code.

No, we have not yet considered it to develop.

You can achieve this by developing custom code.

If you are not a developer then you can consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site or WordPress agency.

You can also consider us to develop it for you using the form https://ivorysearch.com/custom-work/
