Would it be easy enough to add the ability to add an additional paramameter to search cop? So no only is it by posts, but a specific category?

Even better would be Post > Post type > Term(s)

Thanks for the plugin by the way, its awesome!

    Hi,
adding the category parameter belongs to the WP query. You can build your own Search template in Elementor and use the query control (filters) for that purpose ( https://elementor.com/blog/introducing-advanced-query-control/ ). The Search Cop extension relies on the fact that the WordPress search form allows you to add an additional parameter which is the post type.

I only want one of the search forms to search a specific category, not all of them. Is there a way to do that?

You’ll have to use “Posts” widget instead of “Archive Posts” hence the former one lets you modify the query, check it out: https://imgur.com/a/b9ocfQo
Of course, at the end save your search template and set the “Display Condition” as “Search Results”. That should do the trick. Hopefully, it was clear enough this time, sorry for being lame with the initial reply.

    Cheers!
