Search doesn’t cover gallery text?

  • I’m trying to do a search on my page for text that is only contained in an image description of a gallery image. So let’s say I upload 2 images with a post, it creates 2 attachments, and I add “Foo!” as the description for an image. If I search for Foo!, I don’t get any results. Is this a known limitation or is something going wrong on my page?

    Does anybody know if this is supposed to work? I’ll file a feature request otherwise, but I want to be sure first.
