    Hi, when a document is embedded, does a search engine crawl the text inside the document? Not just the title and meta tags.

    Any external crawler or search engine will open the page with the whole text embedded as a normal user but the text is not saved within the WP databases so any integrated search engine in your website will not find it unless it crawls it rendering the web page.
