Search Engine Question

  • I was curious if the calendar has any factor in the standard WordPress search engine results?

    If, for example someone searched, KitchenAble, link

    You’ll see more recent events not showing at the top but in the middle of list. I have events included in search results. I know it’s not the theme as it does it in Twenty Sixteen theme as well. Those with that search in the “title” seem to have higher order in return results than the one from May 2016 does (5th from top)…

    Thank you for any help you can provide in sorting this out (literally).

  • Hi,

    As far as I know, WordPress search engine see when events are created, not the dates when the event happens. Please try “Relevanssi” plugin, it might be possible to change the order and results.
